Our Story

We first met in 2014 and here's our story from the both of us…

Laurens Side

It was a sunny August day and I was looking forward to attending a BBQ organised by my dad in aid of cancer research. Little did I know, until I arrived, that the whole event was a ploy to match me up someone!
When I first saw Adam I thought he was handsome but I felt too scrutinised to do anything more than steal a few glances of him across the patio thanks to all the other guests making it VERY awkward. We spent a few hours bashfully smiling at each other before we went our separate ways.
A few hours later Adam had been given my phone number (thanks dad) and we had arranged to meet up. Our first date was at the bowling alley and what a first date it was! We talked and laughed all evening!
Over the years we have been together Adam has made me feel so happy, loved and appreciated for everything I do. I knew that night in the bowling alley that we had something special and I thank my lucky stars every day that he is mine.

Adam's Side

I turned up to a BBQ being held by Jane and Roy, I knew that Scott and Ryan had the intention of introducing me to someone,
but I had no idea who this mystery persons was, besides the fact they had a twin.
I now know this mystery girl as Lauren, but on that day I was too nervous to go up and speak to her.
After the BBQ we both began messaging each other, about just how awkward we both were (how little things change).
We arranged to meet up and play tennis at the weekend, an arrangement I missed through sleeping, I then felt to awkward and ashamed to message… this went on for several days.
Thankfully when I did message to apologise Lauren gave me a second chance, not that she'd let me forget about it.
We met at the bowling alley and I actually turned up this time, and thank god I did. We spoke for hours and we had a great time, we instantly clicked and talking came so easy.
From that day I've known Lauren is my lobster and I couldn't be happier that she'll also be my wife.
